Our Young Scholar+ programme aims to help children develop essential life skills while supporting their scholastic needs. Through purposeful and intentional activities, the programme will provide children the opportunities to gain multifaceted skills to improve their confidence when speaking, presenting and being interviewed and interviewing others. It will also include math concepts and problem solving to gain a stronger foundation in math skills.
Elements
Public Speaking: Learning the 3 Ps (Posture, Pronunciation and Pace), Hosting/MC-ing, Composing and reciting a speech
Journalism/Media Literacy: Conducting interviews, Learning about devices to document their learning, Creating posters for promotional use.
Language & literacy activities, Numicon Maths, Measures, Shape and Space, Logical Thinking, Money & Time
