We are back on track for an amazing summer camp! We will foster a love of reading and introduce some famous authors and their books that can capture a child’s imagination. Each week the campus will highlight the books and series and integrate a wide range of hands-on activities. Our holistic camp helps children retain routines and engages them in literacy, maths, science, cooking, physical and much more all the while making new friends.
Our teachers will provide a fun and nurturing environment that can allow children the freedom to explore and learn through play.
Programme Highlights
- Welcome Time
Each day children will have developmental play to give them time to warm up and choose their areas of interest, it could be puzzles, building blocks, thematic resources or play corners.
Circle Time: Read a daily story and engage the children with comprehension questions and also a discussion on the book, plot, and outcome of the story. - Small Group Activities
Different tasks and resources will be set up at 2-3 tables, this could be arts & crafts, maths games, literacy games, fine motor activities, science experiments or playdough depending on the lesson plans for the day and the age group of the children. - Physical Play
Every day students will have a chance to run, jump, hop and climb within our play areas. Teachers will introduce and arrange team games, obstacle courses and individual stations to improve their physical development. - Snack Time
Children may bring a water bottle and a snack to camp and we will provide 20 minutes so they can take a brief rest and have some refreshments provided from home. - Music and Movement
As children enjoy singing and dancing, teachers will provide ample opportunities for them to use instruments, learn simple dances and sing many different songs.
