Struggling to boost your preschooler’s drawing skills? Our School Development Specialist, Mrs Holly Gonzales shares 5 tips to help your little one express their creativity and build confidence through art!

#1
Start Early
Never too young, always encourage children to make simple marks and scribbles.

#2
Provide Various Materials
Look at what tools you have at home, e.g. cotton buds, chopsticks, forks, spoons, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc…

#3
Encourage Creativity
There’s no right or wrong way to draw, appreciate their ideas and imagination.

#4
Be Patient
Give children enough time to create! It’s a process that often takes more than one day. Focus on their enthusiasm rather than final product.

#5
Celebrate Progress
Display their artwork proudly. Today the fridge gallery, tomorrow the Louvre!
